Catherine A. Speer

Kate Speer passed away peacefully on October 23, 2021 at the age of 93. Predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Mary Tennity.

Kate had survived Covid 19 earlier this year but the aftereffects impacted her quality of life for her remaining days. She will be joining her husband Allen J. and only child Allen L. who predeceased her on the first tee up in heaven.

Kate was a Rochester native, a graduate of Marshall High School and was married for just short of 70 years to the love of her life, her husband Allen. She was a caring mother to son Al, a great homemaker for their family, an exceptional seamstress and quilter. She loved to entertain and provide for her family. Her true passion came to her in playing the game of golf. She was a member at Craig Hill Country Club and then Ridgemont Country Club before moving to West Palm Beach Florida where she further sharpened her game.

Kate will be sorely missed by those who knew her. Kate’s wit and sense of humor will never be forgotten. She kept us smiling even as she neared the end of her life.
