David Salatino
Greece - After a courageous two year battle with cancer, our David earned his wings. A kind, gentle soul with enormous strength and courage he loved his family, faith, music and cooking. A professional musician, David or "Doc" as his friends called him played throughout Rochester at events, clubs and benefits. His culinary skills were honed by the side of his beloved grandmother Elisa and enjoyed by all of us. Papa to his cherished grandchildren, they brought him much pride and joy.
David was predeceased by his parents Rose and Paul Salatino. Survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Margaret; sons Mark & Matthew (Judy) Salatino; grandchildren Isabel, Dominic, Gianna, and Alicia; brother Paul Salatino Jr., brother-in-law Anthony (Patricia) DiBiase, sister-in-law Laura (Michael) Bruno; uncles Raymond (Libby) Pannone, Sam (Josephine) Pannone; many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Friends may call Friday 5-7 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. Funeral Mass Saturday 10:30 at Our Mother of Sorrows Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
