Elizabeth M. "Betty Boop" Bucklin (Laird)

Went home to the Lord October 5, 2022 at age 94. She is predeceased by her husband Richard; son Richard II; granddaughter Jennifer Lessar; mother Rachel (John) Kastick; father William Laird; brothers Robert & William Laird. Survived by her daughters Michele (Michael) Addy, Cheryl (Micah) Brown; sons Gerald (Barbara), David (Claire), Dana (Michele), and Kevin; daughter in law Rayleen Bucklin; grandchildren Johnna (David) Bellen, Paul (Audrye) Bucklin, Andrew (Andrew) Bucklin, Megan (Erika) Hendrickson, Julie (Jason) Fulkerson , Mary ( Mark) Leach, Stephan (Cassandra) Persia; Rachel (Brett) Casto, Katrina (Kevin) Alles, Valentino & John Bucklin; Daniel (Amber) Jason (Adrienne) Denny; Ryan (Chrissy) & Kyle Bucklin, Nicole & Brooke Alford; Lena Brown; Alexis Bucklin; 27 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and held jobs outside of the home. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her joy. She created a strong family life with many traditions centered on celebration. Those who knew her and loved her appreciated her joy in those celebrations. Elizabeth was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church and a member of the Red Hat Society.

Calling hours will be held 5-8 PM, Sunday October 9 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. Funeral mass 11 AM Monday, October 10 at St. Alphonsus Church in Auburn, NY. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
