Irondequoit - Peacefully October 9, 2021 at age 77. Predeceased by his sister Diane Villareale and brother-in-law Paul Yaeger, Jr. Survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Carol; children Christopher (Lisa), Michael (Tina), Matthew (Stefanie) and Andrew (Kristen); 7 grandchildren; sister-in-law Mary Jane Yaeger; brothers-in-law Stephen (Susan) Yaeger, Richard (Rebecca) Yaeger; nieces and nephews. Gene will be remembered by his family as a loving husband and father, he had a quick wit and sense of humor. As a member of Ridgemont Country Club, he was an avid golfer and enjoyed helping people with their game

Friends may call 4-7 PM Tuesday at the Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. Funeral Mass 11 AM Wednesday at St. Kateri Parish at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
