Batavia: January 17, 2016. Predeceased by his loving wife, Rose; son, Thomas; parents, George Weissinger & Mildred Haines; sisters, Marie & Joyce. Survived by sons, Gary, Gregory; daughter, Linda; brothers, Norbert, Gerald, Lyle; sisters, Virginia and Doris; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. George served in the U.S. Navy and WW II aboard the USS Laffey 724 during the battle of Okinowa.

Friends may call Friday 4-7 at the Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Rd. (between English and Latta). Funeral Mass 9:30 Saturday at Church of the Nativity (Brockport). Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the NYS Veteran's Home, 220 Richmond Ave., Batavia, NY 14020.
