Mary was born in Arenzano, Italy to parents Pietro and Maria Delfino. Mary attended school in Rome and became fluent in five languages. She taught languages, directed theater, and was an actress in Switzerland. There she met

Dr. Louis P. Tomassetti where he was attending medical school. They married in Italy and moved to Rochester, NY, where they raised 4 boys.

Mary started Lux Theatrical Productions and donated proceeds to philanthropic causes and charities. She taught Italian and was very active at Aquinas where her boys went to school. She was a proud member of the Italian-American Community Center and worked on several causes including Villa Colombo.

Mary was a friend to everyone. She loved to sing, dance, cook and entertain in grand Italian style! Friends and neighbors will tell you her house was open to all and always full of love and food, no matter what day or time.

Mary is survived by her sister Pina Delfino (Arenzalo, Italy), four sons Victor, John, Louis and Peter, three granddaughters, one grandson and one great granddaughter.

Many have said that Mary has been instrumental in their lives and left a profound impact. She projected love and happiness to all her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Saint Padre Pio Chapel,141 Frank DiMino Way, Rochester, NY 14624.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of Mary's friends for the love, support and friendship they have received throughout the years.

Friends may call Thursday 12-3 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Rd. (between English & Latta). Funeral Mass Friday 10:30 at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
