Greece - Passed away peacefully at the age of 75 in her home on May 5th, 2022. Born September 10th, 1946, to John and Delores Empey. Predeceased by her daughter Tammy Fuhry, brothers Kevin and Scott Empey. Survived by her loving Husband of 57 years William Sr. and her children William Jr. (Tammy), Michelle (Anthony) Farrell, Bryan (Elyse), Melissa (Gianfranco) Natoli and Son-in-law, Mark Fuhry II; twelve Grandchildren, Courtney (Stefan) Bromfield, Steven (Tori) Fuhry, Ashley (Angel) Sampel, Mark Fuhry III, Anthony Farrell, Trevor (Sabrina) Fuhry, Brad (Mackenzie) Swartz, Cassidy (Alex) Natoli, Isabella Natoli, Brendan (Aspen) Swartz, Ben Swartz, Madison Natoli, and Great Grandson Bentley Vega.

Sharon was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother who loved spending time with her family and friends. Before becoming a daycare provider, Sharon worked as a private duty nurse. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, where she was very involved in hospitality, weddings, sacristan and bake sales. She also enjoyed volunteering at Mary’s Place Refugee Outreach & All-Star Scholars, where she taught English. Sharon and Bill loved road trips, antique shopping, and a day at the casino.

Her beautiful life and memory will forever be cherished in the lives of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by us all.

Come celebrate Sharon’s life on Wednesday, May 11th from 3-7 PM at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 12th beginning at 9:30AM at Sacred Heath Cathedral followed by an Entombment at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to C.U.R.E Childhood Cancer Association (www.curekidscancer.com).
