Hamlin: Age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2016. Vincent was born 5/29/21 in Rochester and is predeceased by sisters, Frances Ward Harper, Catherine Ward Brayer, and Anne Marie Ward Rhodes; brothers, Father Lawrence Ward and Father Leo Ward; and his former wife, Martha Ward. He is survived by his sister, Joan Ward Tschetter. Vincent is also survived by his nephew & caretaker, Vincent Harper; and wife Cindy, with children Zack, Tim, and Helena; also survived by nephew Pat (Carol) Harper; and extended family members from the Brayer, Rhodes & Tschetter families; and his cousin, Eleanor Maguire Diamond.

Vincent was a Navy pilot in WWII and later became a watch repairman in Rochester. He competed in the Paralympics, where he medalled in swimming & bowling. He was a true inspiration to his family.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 1st at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 3747 Brick Schoolhouse Rd., Hamlin. Interment at the convenience of the family.
