GREECE - November 23, 2019 went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Annette; children Todd (Tilynn) Wakefield and Jill (Chad) Cottone; grandchildren, Trevor and Tiana Wakefield and Samantha and Cameron Cottone; brothers, Thomas (Bonnie) Wakefield, David and John Wakefield; sisters, Margaret (Dan) Mikel and Susan (Jay) Lavin; nieces and nephews.

Bill was born in Albion, NY to Thomas Wakefield and Margaret Moffatt on 3/19/39. Bill graduated from Aquinas High School in 1958. Bill served his country in the Army and went on to have a successful business career at General Signal.

Bill enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Bill was an avid golfer and loved being outdoors in the sun, especially walks on the beach.

Friends may call Friday 4-7 at Farrell-Ryan funeral home, 777 Long Pond Road. Funeral Mass, 10:00 Saturday at St Lawrence Church. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
