Amber Seward

Amber Virginia Seward, age 35, passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 17th, 2025. Born on Memorial Day, May 28th, 1990, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Amber later made her home in Spencerport, New York, where she became a pillar of strength and care to those around her.

A graduate of Brockport High School, Amber pursued a life of service through education—earning an associate degree from Monroe Community College, two bachelor’s degrees from Brockport University, and attending PA School at Cumberland University, driven by a calling to help others.

Amber’s career was rooted in emergency response and care. She worked for Rural Metro as a paramedic, dispatcher, and spokesperson—roles that spoke to her leadership and dedication. She also selflessly volunteered as a paramedic with the Churchville Fire Department, always showing up when her community needed her most.

Amber was preceded in death by her grandparents, Vannette E. and Ronald E. Seward Sr.; her grandfather, John A. Lucas; her uncle, Ronald E. Seward Jr.; and her aunt, Sonia Galasso. She is survived by her loving parents, Elizabeth and Mark Seward; her grandmother, Joyce Perry; her sister, Aubrey Schenk; many aunts, nieces and nephews; and her cherished Pomeranians, Luma and Gracy.

A Christian and deeply spiritual woman, she lived each day with intention, kindness, and grace. Her legacy echoes in the lives she touched—with every life saved, every word of encouragement, and every quiet act of goodness.

A funeral service honoring Amber will be held on August 2, 2025, at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, located at 777 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14612. Viewing will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the service at 1:00 PM.

To honor Amber’s memory, her family invites friends and loved ones to carry forward her spirit—through everyday acts of compassion, care, and kindness.
