Armando Araujo passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2025, at the age of 82. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Anna; sons, Armando “Andy” and Alexander; and his parents, Adolfo and Paula.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Cindy Araujo; grandchildren, Alexander John, Ashley, Amanda Araujo, and Jamieson Smith; great-granddaughter, Alice, and another great-grandchild expected soon. He is also survived by his brothers, Adolfo “Rudy” Araujo and John Pinzon; as well as several nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Armando served his country with honor. He was a proud member of IUPAT DC4 Local 150 as a painter and wall paper hanger for over 45 years. Having grown up in a close-knit Polish neighborhood, he remained a longtime and active member of the Polish-American Club, cherishing the traditions and friendships he found there.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 6 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services, immediately followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment with military honors will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
