Beatrice Trabold (Montanaro)

Passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at the age of 86. Bea, originally from Niagara Falls, NY, is predeceased by her parents Dominic and Angelina Montanaro; John, her loving husband of 52 years; her son Joseph; and her grandson Matt. She is survived by her sons Michael (Julie), Thomas (Nancy), Eric (Christina) and Christian (Maureen), her grandchildren Erin (Damon) Berg, Lydia Trabold, Graceyn Trabold, Kevin Trabold, Lily (Christopher) Rhoades, William Trabold, Josef Trabold, Alex Trabold, Ben (Mary) Trabold, Jack Trabold and Peter Trabold, and great-grandchildren Evie Berg and Harry Rhoades. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces, other relatives, and longtime friends. 

Bea was a woman of great faith who, before experiencing health issues, was very involved in her church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother who treasured time with her family but wasn’t above threatening to deploy her legendary ‘wooden spoon’ to keep her rambunctious young sons in line until their father got home. She also enjoyed reading, music, and cooking, especially her proprietary meatball and Christmas cookie recipes.

Bea’s family appreciates the professional, compassionate care provided to her by the teams at the Hamlet at Unity, RRH Hospice Care and the Jewish Home of Rochester in her final months.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, June 28th (2-4 PM) at Farrell Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services 777 Long Pond Rd. Rochester, NY 14612. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 29th at 11AM at St. Mark’s Church, 54 Kuhn Road, Greece, NY. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Margaret Home, P.O. Box 214, East Rochester, NY 14445, or St. Marks Church, in Bea’s memory.
