Carmen D. Barbosa passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She is predeceased by her parents, Cecilio and Juana Santiago, and her sisters, Lucia, Lydia, and Esther.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Cecilio; her cherished children, Daniel (Esther) Torres, Marta (Ronald) Corts, and Jose (Lourdes) Torres; her beloved siblings, Steve, Angel, Thomas, Mary, Noelia, Rachel, and Anna; as well as many treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom brought joy to her life.
Carmen was a woman of deep faith and a devoted parishioner of St. Michael’s Church, where she found strength, community, and purpose. She gave generously of her time through service in Matthew’s Closet, a ministry close to her heart, providing compassion and dignity to those in need.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, August 21, from 4–7 p.m. at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 22, at 10am at her beloved St. Michael’s Church, with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Carmen will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her devotion to family, and her spirit of kindness that touched all who knew her.
