Carolyn J. Mastrella

Carolyn J. Mastrella, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2026.

Born on December 16, 1933, Carolyn lived a life rooted in family, faith, and dedication. She was a longtime employee of Xerox Corporation before retiring, and later continued working at Rocky’s Restaurant, a cherished family establishment founded by her parents, Louise and Joseph Mastrella. Carolyn took great pride in being part of the family business and the community it served.

Her devotion to her church, Holy Apostles Church, was known and felt by all who knew her. Her faith was a steady presence throughout her life and a quiet source of strength.

Carolyn is survived by her loving sister Mary Achille (Louis, deceased); her sister-in-law Grace Mastrella, wife of her late brother Rocco Mastrella; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Frances Gumina (Phillip) and Margaret Rice (John), as well as her dear friend, Janice Kaiser.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 18, from 9:00–11:00 AM at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services (777 Long Pond Rd. Rochester, NY 14612)  A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Holy Apostles Church (7 Austin St, Rochester, NY 14606) Internment will take place immediately following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Carolyn will be remembered for her steady presence, her deep faith, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
