Listen to Obituary

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, passed away on February 25, 2026. She is predeceased by her husband, Ronald Sibs, Sr, her daughter Suzanne, and her eight brothers and sisters. She leaves behind her son, Ronald Sibs, Jr., a son-in-law, David Grant, and her dearest grandchildren- Samantha, Dylan, and Natalee, as well as numerous relatives, and many longtime caring friends.

Dolores enjoyed teaching elementary school for over 40 years- primarily with hundreds of kindergartners at various schools in the West Irondequoit School District. She also enjoyed gardening, particularly with her friends at the Rose and Hosta Societies, and Shorewood Garden Club. As a Rose Show Judge, she traveled to various cities and countries to judge at Local, District and National Rose shows. She enjoyed her writing and theatre groups, her Red Hat group, Book Club and her various dominoes and card groups. She did volunteer work with the G2 program at a nearby kindergarten. Dolores never had a day of boredom – keeping busy until the very end.

Dolores often repeated that “It’s Never Too Late to Learn. Indulge your imagination, enrich your life, do volunteer work with children at nearby schools or at the library, or share a book with someone.”

All friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial service at the Holy Sepulchre Christ out Light Mausoleum Chapel on Saturday March 7th at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Seneca School Library in West Irondequoit, 4143 St Paul Blvd, Rochester, NY 14617 to purchase literacy materials for future generations of students.
