Rochester: October 9, 2014 at age 77. Predeceased by his mother, Ruth and father, William; sister, Jean Magill; brothers, Ralph, William and David. Survived by many nieces, nephews and interesting friends.
After working 14 years in the Data Processing and Payroll Dept. at Eastman Kodak Co. Don became owner/manager of Don's Edison Hotel, Don's Arcade and worked 29 years as an important link in assisting the homeless as manager of the Cadillac Hotel. Don received 1st place in a nationwide Retail Store Contest in the "Prevention of External and Internal Thief". He was also recognized as one of the top 50 Western Union Agents worldwide. Don was a staff sergeant with the 98th Infantry Division. Serving 8 years with the U.S. Adjutant General Corps. with a "secret" Security Clearance. Don very much enjoyed his hobby as a international adventure traveler.
Friends may call Saturday 10:00-11:00 in the Chapel of St. John's Home, 150 Highland Ave., followed by a Funeral Service and Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
