Edward Scott DeMetsenaere

Edward Scott DeMetsenaere passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2026 at the age of 58.

He was predeceased by his sister, Jean Rosier, and brother, Carl DeMetsenaere. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Suzy; his children, Nicholas DeMetsenaere and Linda (Jeff) DeLong; his cherished grandchildren, Aubriana Robertson, Rebecca DeLong, and Emma DeLong; his parents, Donald and Nancy DeMetsenaere; his brother, John (Stephany) DeMetsenaere; several nieces and nephews; his parents-in-law, Yvan and Jacqueline Grondin; brother-in-law Rick Rosier; and sisters-in-law, Sylvia Linda Wilk and Sonia Grondin.

Ed was a lifelong drywall finisher with more than 40 years of experience. He took great pride in his work and was respected for the care, skill, and craftsmanship he brought to every job. More than anything, Ed will be remembered for his upbeat spirit, his lively personality, and his ability to bring laughter into any room. He had a gift for finding humor in everyday moments, leaving funny voicemails that brightened people’s days, and showing off what he proudly considered the “best” dance moves around.

Ed’s presence was joyful, memorable, and truly one of a kind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 22, from 3–7 PM at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 23, at 11 AM at the funeral home.
