Eileen Julia Barber 

Gates : Passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Helen Kildea, and her sister-in-law Beverly Kildea. Eileen is survived by her daughter, Jackie Barber; her brother, John Kildea; her nieces, Sheila and Shawna Kildea; her nephews, Tom, Tim (Marcie) and Dan Kildea; and her many great nieces, great nephews and cousins. She also leaves behind her goddaughter, Tracy (Bobby) Kane, her dear friends Ginny (Vito) Klimaz, Missy Stoyle, Carol Stockslader, Mary Sweeney and her beloved puppy Zach. 

Eileen was fiercely proud of her Irish heritage, a devoted New York Yankees fan and held strong to her political convictions. She believed in the nation our Founding Fathers envisioned, one founded on the principles of individual liberty and equality. She was never afraid to speak her mind and had an extraordinary sense of humor that made her unmistakably Eileen. Eileen's generosity extended far beyond her family and friends to those less fortunate, and she proudly supported causes close to her heart including the Special Olympics, Veterans organizations, animal rescues and the Isaiah House. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eileen's memory to the Verona Street Animal Shelter, The Isaiah House and the Alzheimer's Association.

Eileen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by everyone who was blessed to have known and loved her. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Farrell Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services (777 Long Pond Rd. Rochester, NY 14612)

 A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church (15 St Marys Pl, Rochester, NY 14607) Entombment will be follow immediately after at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
