Passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025 surrounded by her daughters and family at age 101. She is predeceased by her husband Juan “Antolin”; 3 brothers; and 4 sisters. Survived by her daughters Gloria Arnais-Hoffman and Elvi Arnais; grandchildren Sandra (Michael) Smith and Leslie (Michael) Hall; great-grandchildren Javier, Michael J., Josie, and Zeke; 2 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law; several nieces and nephews in Cuba, Texas, Florida, and California.
She held her husband’s hand for 72 years until he died. Her daughters and family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Highland Hospital. They are overwhelmed with the care and love that was provided to their mother.
Elvira’s funeral mass will be held 11 AM Tuesday, July 29 at St. Mark’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
