Glenn M. Collins

Passed away on Wednesday, February 25, at the age of 67 after a courageous battle with ALS. Glenn was predeceased by his parents, Dugan and Joanne Collins.

He is survived by his beloved children, Chris (Sarina), Greg (Melissa), Kelly Collins, and Courtney (Billy) Dunn and their mother, Anne; and his cherished grandchildren, Lucy, Cole, Charlie, Daisy, and Bode. Glenn is also survived by his fiancée, Cynthia Goettelman, along with her children and grandchildren, Sandra (Mark) Shannon, Michael (Monica) Goettelman, and Henry, Charlie, William, and James. He further leaves behind his siblings, Michael, Bruce, and Susan (Rob) Chapman, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Glenn was born April 3, 1958, in Rochester, New York. A proud entrepreneur, he founded and built Village Sports, which he owned and managed for many years. He found great fulfillment in youth athletics and made a lasting impact on thousands of athletes through his founding and involvement with the Rochester Grizzlies Youth Hockey Association. As a hockey coach, Glenn instilled discipline, sportsmanship, and mentorship in the many young athletes he guided.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 9, at White Haven Memorial Park — All Seasons Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ALS Association in Glenn’s memory.
