Surrounded by her loving family, Jean Babiarz Miller, a devoted and loving wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, at the age of 83.
Jean and her loving husband, Richard L. “Dick” Miller, shared 32 wonderful years together. With Dick as her partner, she never stopped adventuring. Together, they visited all 50 states, hiked in national and state parks, golfed, and traveled to Europe.
Jean also cherished being at home among her gardens and flowers. She enjoyed crocheting and was an expert with her sewing machine. She was a breast cancer survivor since 2001 and lived vibrantly though having Waldenström’s for her last 15 years.
In addition to her husband, Dick, Jean is survived by her children, Cynthia (Gary) Snodgrass, William Babiarz, and Elizabeth (Lance) Warner; her stepchildren, Karen Miller and Kevin Miller; her grandchildren, Andrew Snodgrass, Lindsay (Marc) Pruchnitzky, Kristen Snodgrass, Leah Bennett, and Seth Warner; and her great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Luke Pruchnitzky.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Jane Hill; her siblings, Robert Abernathy Hill, Sarah (Larry) Sanderson, Lawrence Hill, and James Hill (husband of Sue); and her half-sisters, Leona Zaremski and Irene Zabelny.
Family and friends may call on August 4, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services, 777 Long Pond Road, Rochester.
Her funeral service will be held on August 5, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at Asbury First United Methodist Church, 1050 East Avenue, Rochester.
Interment will be private at White Haven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Jean’s honor to the International Waldenstrom’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation.
