Jo Ann Leake

JoAnn Leake was born August 19, 1962, to Betty Ann Smith and William Russell, in Rochester, New York.

JoAnn attended the No. 5 Elementary School where she also to pleasure in being a safety patrol there. While attending Jefferson Middle/Highscool JoAnn was very involved in the audio visual technologies. Joanne was involved in so many children's lives throughout the community. She was also employed at No.17 School as a cafeteria assistant where she was very loved. She had a huge love for Elvis Presley.

Joanne was survived by her mother Betty Ann Smith; sisters Jennie Lancaster (Lionel Walker), Kathy Peters (Carl Corey) and her twin sister Gina Smith-Donke (Bill Donke); brothers Frank Smith (Sylvia Smith) and Richard Garrett; children Luis Smith (Ida Smith), David Leake (Rachel Leake), Michael Leake, Helena Leake, Bruce Smith (Deceased) and Selena Soto; grandchildren Serenity Rose, Bruce, Ryder and a host of family and friends.

Friends may call 4-6pm Friday March 22, 2024 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services 777 Long Pond Road with a service at 6pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care or the Lipson Cancer Center at Rochester Regional Hospital.
