Passed away suddenly on November 25, 2025. She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Bill; daughter Amy (Matt) Albright; and her beloved grandchildren, James and Abigail Albright, who affectionately called her Mia. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Lisa (Larry) Scaglione and Lynn (Karl) Ziemer; many nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Peter Decker, Mary Katherine Kamfonas, and especially Kristine Maxwell.
Kathy will be deeply missed by her neighbors and friends, who often described her as a strong and remarkable force of nature.
Kathy was proud to be among the first nurses to help open the Open Heart Unit at Rochester General Hospital. She was dedicated to caring for others throughout her life, spending many years volunteering with Greece Volunteer Ambulance and in the Emergency Department at Rochester General Hospital.
She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and loved supporting their activities. Kathy was also an avid soccer fan through Amy and a loyal Buffalo Bills supporter alongside Bill.
Calling hours will be held Friday, December 5th, 2025 from 4–7 PM at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services, 777 Long Pond Road. Private entombment at Riverside Cemetery.
