Kathy “Kate” Hart-Sampson

May 25, 1947 – August 11, 2025 • Age 78

Kathy “Kate” Hart-Sampson passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025, at the age of 78. She is lovingly remembered by her sons Tim Regoord and Jeff Regoord, brother Greg Hart (Elaine), sisters Chris Hart-Gray (Jon Gray), Patty Hart, and Mary Hart-Teresi (Tom Teresi), granddaughter Rebecca Drewry, as well as her six cherished nieces and nephews.

She is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Thomas Sampson, her devoted parents, John and Elizabeth Hart, and the many loved ones who went before her.

Kate dedicated much of her career to serving others — first in the billing department at Unity (formerly Park Ridge) Hospital, and later as a compassionate drug and alcohol counselor. Her kindness, empathy, and unwavering support touched countless lives.

She and her husband Tom shared a love of adventure, exploring the country together in their beloved RV, accompanied by their faithful dogs, Higgins and Bosley, and their spirited cat, Abbie. Those journeys were filled with laughter, discovery, and the simple joy of being together.

In keeping with her wishes, a private family service will be held to honor her life and legacy.
