She also leaves behind her best friend, Sandy Owens who has been an unwavering friend and second sister to her.
Laura loved family and the Buffalo Bills with every ounce of her being.
Laura was always the smartest, funniest person in the room growing up. Into adulthood, no matter how hard her life was while living with MS and difficult life circumstances, she never stopped laughing and had a ready smile for everyone. Her tenderness for those she loved made her the person you could turn to and know you were in a safe place to share your hardest moments. Her grace was unrivaled. Laura put those she loved ahead of her own needs to a fault but she wouldn’t have had it any other way. She had just begun a beautiful journey towards self love and tenderness towards her own heart and we are so happy to have been able to witness her allow us to be the ones holding her up so she could rest her heart and find strength and courage to step into her own light. This brings us joy and peace.
We know that Laura and her mom will be the loudest heavenly Buffalo Bills cheering section around. She and her son, Joshua watched every Bills game together while texting the family group chat about every play and bad call. We will miss those texts.
Laura also loved the Hershey Bears hockey team and shared that love with her son, Brandon.
Laura was a Rochester, NY, Carlisle and Mechanicsburg, PA resident and most recently a resident of Holley, NY. So many people in each of these cities and towns were filled with people who loved her.
Please donate in her memory to the National MS Society.
Thank you to all of our family and friends during this difficult time for your support and love. We are so grateful to all of you for your generosity of spirit and for sharing beautiful memories of Laura. It is what is allowing us to put one foot in front of the other. If you have a story that you’d like to share, we would love to have you post them here. It would mean the world to us.
