Linda Ann Ritz Foster Passed away April 11, 2025. was born on April 2, 1951, to Leonard and Clara Ritz of Rochester, New York. She graduated from Red Jacket High School Manchester/Shortsville, New York in 1971. From there she went on to Geneva General Hospital School of Practical Nursing, graduating in 1972. She then worked at various hospitals in the Rochester and Clifton Springs area as a Practical Nurse.
After suffering health problems, she was living with her grandmother when she met Tim Foster. Linda and Tim married May 2, 1987 and lived in Rochester, Leroy and North Chili, New York. They shared a delight in simple things. Linda loved needlework and doing crafts. She made beautiful silk flower arrangements. She and Tim took many trips to Niagara Falls, Ontario. Linda was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan and was ecstatic when the Cubs won the World Series in 2016. Tim and Linda had no children but had many cat children. Eventually Linda’s health problems increased and Tim became her caregiver. Linda maintained her wry sense of humor until her death
Linda was predeceased by Timothy Foster, her husband of almost 38 years, and her parents. She is survived by her brother Michael (Cindy Lou) Ritz, her sister Cindy-Sue (late David Chapman), her sister-in-law, Barbara (Dick) Blass, her brother-in-law, Minter (late Julie) Foster and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
