Linda A. Gombatto

January 18, 1947 — June 15, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Gombatto following a courageous battle (January 18, 1947- June 15, 2025). A loving wife, mother, and nana, Linda was our rock, the glue that held the family together, and she will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Linda was always the funniest person in the room - she had an infectious laugh, a magnetic personality, and unmatched selflessness that touched everyone she met. She has left a legacy of joy, warmth, and generosity that will be cherished forever.

Linda would tell you her passion and greatest accomplishment was raising her four children. She never missed a sporting event, a musical, or any special moment for her children or her grandchildren, each of whom she adored.

The Gombatto house was always the “fun” house - sleepovers, the snack drawer, building forts with the couch cushions, and playing cards deep into the night - the door was always open to friends and family alike, a constant invitation to laughter, comfort, and togetherness. A masterful cook, it didn’t matter if it was Christmas Eve or just a Friday night, she could be found at the stove making sauce, meatballs, beef cutlets, or her famous clams casino. Her presence made every gathering feel like a celebration, and her absence will be deeply felt at every table, every game, and every moment she once lit up with her love.

She is survived by her four loving children, Kim (Rob) Wright, Kristine (Eric) Wiegand, Phil (Heide) Gombatto, and Jerry (Sara) Gombatto; her 9 grandchildren MacKenzie (Jace) Magavern and Maxwell Wright (Jessica); Alex (Alex Cloer) & Jake Wiegand; Olivia (Dominic) Florio, Jack & Joey Gombatto; and Sofia & Rose Gombatto; and her sister-in-law Annette Vincent (widow of the late John Vincent).

She is predeceased by her husband of nearly 60 years, Gerard D. Gombatto; her parents Steve and Mary Monti; her in-laws Phillip and Rose Gombatto, Joe (Harriet), Angelo (Glenna), Dominic (Vera), Anthony (Shirley) Gombatto, and Marylou (Joe) Fingland; and great-nephew Tony Gombatto.
