Lindsey Wright

October 31, 1983 — June 1, 2025

Rochester

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lindsey sadly share her passing on June 1, 2025 at a very young age of 41, after her long courageous battle with cancer.

Words cannot describe how deeply our hearts hurt for our beautiful, loving daughter, sister, mother and friend our lives will never be the same.

I pray that God and his angels take extra special care of this amazing women. We will never know a woman stronger than her, who put her everything into her children while fighting cancer like an absolute badass. Before she found out her diagnosis she worked three jobs, while going back to school to be an orthodontic assistant, and taking care of her two teenagers as a single mother. She was a powerhouse of energy, fun, and laughter. She was passionate about painting, shopping and playing pickleball. This time last year she took her family to NYC to celebrate her children’s 16th birthday.

Lindsey graduated from Monroe Community College with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. She worked at Get It Straight and went back to school to be an orthodontic assistant while taking care of her two teenagers as a single mother.

Lindsey loved to travel and wanted to see the world. She was able to accomplish that dream and visited many places. She frequently went to one of her favorite places in the world, the Adirondacks, to camp with family and friends. She had the biggest heart and it was full of love for all of her wonderful family, friends and relatives. She loved to share her house to be with family on the holidays.

We also can’t thank our family, friends, and those close to her, enough. Thank you for giving her a village of support and love through the biggest fight of her life. Thank you for supporting us all in this devastating time for keeping her memory alive, and sharing the beautiful moments you had with her throughout her years. She had the biggest heart and it was FULL of love for all of her wonderful friends and all of her relatives.

She’s watching over us, and she’ll never truly be gone because she lives on through us all.

She is predeceased by grandparents Mary and Douglas Pfahl, Grace and Lawrence Wright. Survived by her children Vincent and Victoria Messina; parents Mitch and Charlene Wright; brother Nathan, and Courtney Poray and nephew Cooper Wright; great aunt Gloria “Nanny” Pfahl; and several cousins, aunts, uncles and many dear friends.
