Madelyn Hanratty

Madelyn J. Hanratty passed away August 14, 2023 after a brief illness. She was born on May 24, 1932 in East Mauch Chunk, PA to Lester and Grace (Koons) DeLong.

Madelyn was predeceased by her husband Dr. Richard J. Hanratty along with her sisters Barbara Frantz and Nannette Smith. She is survived by her children Eileen (Peter) Remec, Katherine (Brian) McDermott and Daniel (Louis Nelson) Hanratty; her grandchildren Christine Remec, Andrea (Russell) Turley and Taylor and Dillon McDermott along with many nieces and nephews.

Madelyn graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was the chauffeur, Girl Scout leader and all around supportive mother. She loved spending time with her Bridge and Red Hat Ladies along with her friends at the Lake. Her most special times were with friends and extended family.

Friends may call 4-6pm Tuesday, September 5th at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services 777 Long Pond Road. Funeral mass 10:30am Wednesday, September 6th at Our Mother of Sorrows Church.
