In loving memory of Mango Crispin Makungu, who passed away suddenly on February 6, 2024, at the age of 44. Mango, a resident of Greece, NY, was called home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.
Mango was born on September 27, 1979, to his father, the late Kyaka Charles Makungu, and his mother, Christine Mulapi. He is survived by his beloved wife, Bernadette Kasinge Mango, his cherished daughters, Jacqueline and Charlotte Mango, and his siblings, Marko, Maggie, Joseph, Charles, and Marie Makungu.
Known for his admirable character and caring heart, Mango was a hardworking individual who touched the lives of many. He found joy in his role as a loving father and dedicated family man. Mango had a fondness for African gospel music and found solace in following the news from Congo, his homeland.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 4 PM to 6 PM at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, located at 777 Long Pond Road. A memorial mass will be held in honor of Mango at Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612, at 10:30 AM on Saturday, February 17, 2024. Following the memorial mass, a burial service will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612. The Mass will be live streamed on https://www.holycrossrochester.org/
Mango Crispin Makungu will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will forever remain in our hearts as we cherish the moments shared and the impact he made during his time with us. May he rest in eternal peace.
