Mary Beth Paris

Mary Beth passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 76. She is predeceased by her parents Augustine and Mary Lanasa; and her sister Josephine. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years and high school sweetheart, Gus; her daughter Melissa (Jim) Bruno; grandson Alex Bruno; brother Sam (Terri) Lanasa; niece Amy Dunn; and sister-in-law Patti Glidden.

Mary Beth began her career journey at Rochester Landmarks: Petrillo's Bakery & then later, at Antonetta's Restaurant. She was a familiar face for many years, made lifelong friends and always greeted everyone with a smile. At home, Mary was a phenomenal baker; she made the best Italian creations. She also reveled in the joy of cooking for her family and friends, becoming known for her fantastic meatballs and cutlets, as well as her welcoming holiday gatherings.

Mary was the epitome of the classic Italian mother, embodying love, empathy, and strength. She had a green thumb and took immense pride in her vegetables, finding joy in nurturing both her plants and her family. Her immaculate home was always a joy for friends and family to gather for a delicious meal.

She was devoted to her loving husband and daughter; nothing was more important in her life. Mary was a beautiful human being who truly made the world a better place.

Services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations are made to Strong Memorial Hospital or the Jewish Home Foundation.
