Michael J. Alsup
Greece - Michael John Alsup, age 89 passed away peacefully on September 5, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born April 1, 1930 in Ogden, UT, the youngest of 8 children of James and Mary (Owens) Alsup. He graduated with a degree in Chemistry from the University of Utah, where he met his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Jane (Agnew) Alsup. Michael served 2 years in the US Army before graduating from the University and moving with his family to Rochester for a career at Eastman Kodak where he was employed for 32 years. Mike was an avid golfer, and a member of Ridgemont Country Club for many years. He will be remembered most as a loving husband and father.
In addition to his cherished wife, Michael is survived by his 4 children, Patricia (Brian) Conlon, Kathryn (Robert) Muldowney, Laurie (Pete Hagmire) Ondrejka and Michael (Karen) Alsup; as well as 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and special friends. A special thank you to the staff at Crimson Ridge Meadows for your loving kindness and outstanding care for Michael.
Calling hours will be Monday 4-7 at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Road. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo, 3003 Dewey Avenue on Tuesday 10:30 AM followed by a private Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Kitchen or Food for the Poor.
