Nancy M. Carey

Age 74 passed away February 19, 2025 after a long illness. She was the daughter of Lois and Raymond W. LaFlair. Born 28 December 1950 in Ogdensburg, NY and grew up there. She attended college at SUNY Canton, studied nursing and worked at Rochester General Hospital.

Several year later, she changed careers becoming a deputy sheriff in Albany NY. 

While growing up, she hiked 36 of the Adirondack peaks with her family. 

She had a great affection for animals and was a life long supporter of wildlife organizations, NY State conservation and local animal shelters. She will be missed.

Nancy is survived by her brothers Donald and Robert.
