Nicholas A. Sloyer

Nicholas Andrew Sloyer died suddenly at his private residence on Saturday, August 16th in Greece at the age of 52. Nick is survived by his son, Jacob; and his daughter, Melanie; his parents Wilson and Linda; his brothers Christopher and Edward; and his four nieces.

Nick was a United States Navy Veteran, and received his education in Surgical Technology during his service. He was an employee at Strong Memorial Hospital from 1999 until 2005, and later worked at Linden Oaks Surgical Center prior to his passing. During his childhood, Nick was an incredible and dedicated athlete, participating in local and academic football and baseball teams until he graduated high school, oftentimes landing himself a mention in the local paper due to his impressive performances.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home located at 777 Long Pond Road in Rochester. Calling hours will be on September 20th, from 1pm-2pm, followed immediately by a service beginning at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to any charity of choice.
