In Loving Memory of Patricia Hrankowski

With profound heartbreak and sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Patricia Hrankowski, whose kindness, strength, and unconditional love touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was the heart of our family—the one who welcomed everyone with a warm smile, a caring heart, and a gentle spirit. She lived her life with compassion, always putting others before herself and offering love without expecting anything in return. Her generosity, patience, and unwavering faith in those she loved will forever be the example we strive to follow. One of the phrases she lived by and reminded others of every day was simply, "Be Kind." Those two words perfectly reflected the way she lived her life and the legacy she leaves behind.

Patricia devoted more than 35 years to the Rochester City School District, where she poured her heart into educating and inspiring generations of children. Teaching was never simply a career—it was her life's calling. She believed every child deserved to feel seen, encouraged, and loved, and she had a remarkable gift for making each student feel special. She touched countless lives through her patience, compassion, and unwavering dedication, leaving an impact that extended far beyond the classroom. Along the way, she also found some of her greatest lifelong friendships.

Among those treasured friendships were her dear friends, Barbara Wager and Grace Cincotta. Barbara and Patricia began their teaching careers together as first-grade teachers, beginning a friendship that lasted more than 60 years. Together with Grace, they shared decades of laughter, encouragement, unwavering support, and countless memories. They were far more than coworkers—they were family by choice, and their friendship was one of the greatest blessings of her life.

To her children and family, she was our safe place, our greatest supporter, and the person who celebrated our joys while carrying us through our hardships. She taught us that love is shown through kindness, forgiveness, patience, and simply being there for the people who matter most. Those lessons will remain with us forever.

She now joins our dad in heaven. While our hearts are broken by her absence, we find comfort in believing they are together again, watching over us with the same love they always gave so freely.

She leaves behind a family who adored her beyond words, including her daughter, TriciaLynn; her son, Rob; and her cherished grandchildren—Layla Menges, Eric Hrankowski, Ryan Hrankowski, and Kyle Hrankowski—who brought immeasurable joy to her life. She also leaves behind her beloved brothers, Edward and Larry; her sister, MaryLynn; many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and countless lifelong friends whose lives were made richer by knowing her.

Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff of The Village at Mill Landing Opal Unit for the exceptional care, dignity, kindness, and love they showed our mother. Your compassion brought comfort not only to her but to our entire family, and for that we will be forever grateful.

Though our lives will never be the same without her, we will carry her love with us every day and honor her by living with the kindness, grace, integrity, and compassion she showed to the world.

There are no words that can truly express how deeply she will be missed. Her love will remain in our hearts forever, and her memory will continue to guide us through the days ahead.

Rest peacefully, Mom. Thank you for every sacrifice, every hug, every lesson, and every moment of unconditional love. We love you more than words can ever say, and until we meet again, you will forever be our greatest blessing.

We promise to use "good judgement" in all that we do, and we promise to always remember your simple but powerful reminder to "Be Kind." We know that is exactly how you would want us to live our lives until we are together again.
