Passed away August 15, 2024 at age 86. Predeceased by his wife Shirley, and grandson Jordan DeClerck. Survived by his children Linda (Glenn) Hamp, Jeff Bates and Tom (Bonnie) Bates; 3 grandchildren; brothers Ronald (Robin) Bates, Frank (Barb) Bates; nieces and nephews.
