William Swartz Sr.

Passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on May 17, 2025. Predeceased by his wife Sharon; and daughter Tammy Fuhry. Survived by his children William Jr. (Tammy), Michelle (Anthony) Farrell, Bryan (Elyse), Melissa (Gianfranco) Natoli and son-in-law, Mark Fuhry; twelve grandchildren, Courtney O'dell, Steven (Tori) Fuhry, Ashley (Angel Jr.) Sampel, Mark Fuhry II, Anthony (Margaret) Farrell, Trevor (Sabrina) Fuhry, Dr. Brad (Mackenzie) Swartz, Cassidy (Alex) Mann, Isabella (Donald) Natoli, Brendan (Aspen) Swartz, Benjamin (Adele) Swartz, Madison (Landen) Natoli, and great-grandson Bentley Vega.

William "Bill" was a kind and gentle soul, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. A truly amazing man, he was known for his hard work and all-around handyman skills, never hesitating to help others at a moment’s notice. William was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, dedicated to service and faith.

One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his family. He especially cherished the quiet moments, simply sitting and watching his grandchildren go about their everyday lives — finding happiness in their laughter, curiosity, and growth.

He will be remembered not only for his generous spirit and tireless work ethic but also for the deep love he had for those around him.

The family would like to thank Kirkhaven Nursing Facility for the outstanding care provided over the last year. You truly are an amazing group of caregivers.

Come celebrate William’s life on Thursday, May 22 from 4-7 PM at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Friday May 23 beginning at 9:30AM at Sacred Heart Cathedral followed by an entombment at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to C.U.R.E Childhood Cancer Association (www.curekidscancer.com).
